THE farmhouse art collection

The Farmhouse Art Collection is an expressive and purposeful journey through the Israeli experience – through textures, materials, the written word, emotion, and above all – perspective.

Each contemporary piece tells its own story of Israel in a fleeting moment of time, and each one is fittingly placed in all corners of the estate. The wide-ranging artists include Ayala Tzur, Micha Ullman, Gal Weinstein, Nitzan Mintz, Ella Littwitz, Yael Meiry, Yael Meiry, Roei Greenberg, Gili Shahar, Ori Carmely, Ronen Raz, Yanai Menachem, Mosh Kashi, Natalie Feldesman, Alex Farfuri, Yom Omer, Orna Tamir Schestowitz, Moshe Kupferman, Ohad Matalon, and Larry Abramson.

Artist Ayala Tzur’s four-meter ombré mural is comprised of 864 squares of clay and earth sourced from sites throughout Israel. Placed on the wall in Bat Shlomo Vineyard’s wine tasting room – it is a rich and curious mosaic, a talking piece that inspires wonder and intrigue.

Multidisciplinary artist Ella Littwitz’s Hakhshara (The Preparation in English) is a series of bronze castings of the local plant Yellow Fleabane, collected directly from Bat Shlomo’s soil, which it articulately displayed in its stages of growth. Regarded as a ‘pioneer’ plant, it is the first to appear after disruptions or changes to the local soil. This work is perched at the entrance of The Farmhouse; offering a welcoming reception as you step into the estate, and a symbolic reminder as you say your good-byes.

Through these meaningful works, as viewers, we connect and reconnect to the all-encompassing Israeli experience – and continue to build new perspectives of this beloved place and people – ultimately cultivating and layering our collective future here – together.
